Thinking about working with us?

Here's what our authors and artists have to say:

Spud Publishing’s unique approach to the book industry drew me in because their process lets the writers collaborate and learn from one another, which is a method you don’t see in the traditional publishing process. Getting to know your fellow authors who share a table of contents with you makes it far more personable. I also love their mixed media approach which brings in illustrators who work alongside the writers to bring each story to life.

It has been a refreshing experience to work with Spud Publishing. Through their commitment to my development as an artist, I am left with the impression of a publishing company who really cares about books — a rarity in the traditional publishing world.

The Spud Pub team is very organized, upfront and friendly, I had a great time working with them on the Sequel anthology. The process from start to finish was easy to follow, collaborative and exciting. I loved the community aspect surrounding the project as well! I would definitely work with them again and recommend the experience to others.

Thank you Chen and Jenny for including me in this project :)

Frequently Asked Question

Does Spud Publishing gain the rights to any material submitted?

No! Spud Publishing Inc. does not claim the rights to any material that is submitted to us. We will only be purchasing the rights to the chosen works, a process which will be agreed upon by contract for those selected.

Can I apply with a co-author?

While we fully support co-authorship, unfortunately, we are not set up administratively with contracts, payouts, and creative pipeline to accept co-authors. We welcome submitting individually, and may consider co-authorship when we embark on publishing a full length novel.
